HP HE Corporation grant drafts on London J- Payable on demand, or at thirty days' sight, and drafts on Scotland and Ireland, on demand ; also, circular notes negociable in Egypt, Syria, the Continent of Europe, India, and the Cape of Good Hope. Drafts are also granted on the Branches and Agencies of the Corporation at Bombay Calcutta, Madras, Ceylon, Hongkong, Singapore, Mauritius, Melbourne, and Sydney, at the Exchange of the day. The Corporation purchase or collect Bills payable in Europe, or in Bombay, Calcutta, Madras, Ceylon, Hongkong, Singapore, Mauritius, Melbourne or Sydney. The Corporation also discount or make advances on private Bills and notes payable in Auckland, bearing at least two approved names, unconnected in general business and not having more than four months to run ; or bearing only one name if accompanied by the deposit of adequate collateral security. The Corporation grant Cash Credits on the same terms as above. The Corporation collect Bills, Drafts, &c, payable in Auckland ; take charge of Government or other securities ; and realise interest and dividends for constituents. The Corporation receive deposits on the following terms : — Ist. Current "Deposit Accounts on which no charge, for Commission or otherwise is made, and no interest allowed. Cheques and Pass Books are supplied by the Corporation free of charge. 2nd. Fixed deposits, subject to notice of withdrawal, on which interest is allowed at the following rates. If payable on 3 months notice 2| p.c. per arm. U Q << 3 <« a 12 " 4 " Notice of withdrawal may always be given at the time of depositing. No partial payments allowed on these deposits. The Corporation undertake to remit money to Europe free of charge for constituents, at the current rates of exchange,* and payable in any town in Great Britain where there is a Bank or Banker. Sums to be paid in England or Scotland, under £5, are remitted by advice only ; on Ireland sola drafts are issued for any sums above £2, and 1 per cent, above the sight drawing rate of the day on London charged.
