Woman Struck by Car , at Wanganui Intersection
COMPANION FRACTURES LEG INQUIRY AS TO RELATIVES (By Telegraph—Press Association). WANGANUI, Today. Fatal injuries w r ere sustained by a woman nanied Airs Aloss, who was struck by a motor car while walking across the Victoria Avenue—lngestro Street intersection last night. She w r as accompanied by an unemployed labourer, A. Motley, aged about 44, who was also hit by the car and sustained a compound fracture of the leg and other injuries, necessitating an operation. His condition to-day is reported to be satisfactory. Mrs Aloss received a fractured skull and died this morning. The police are inquiring as to the relatives and address of the victim, who is unknown to the hospital authorities. The driver of the vehicle, an Auckland woman, was alone at the time.
