ARMISTICE DAY PARADE. (From Our Own Correspondent.) At a meeting of tlie Patou, Returned Soldiers’ Association lield in the Town Hull on Tuesday Dr. W. T. • Simmons presided and .also present were: .Messrs A. 11. Langslow, G. Pettigrew, 11. Palmer, G. Taylor, C. Hill and the secretary (Mr A. A. Carey). A letter was read from the Captain llcwctt Testimonial Fund Committee, and it was resolved that the secretary apply for six subscription lists to be circulated in the district. The secretary reported on the present system of paying for subsidised labo.ur and it was resolved that iu future all subsidised labour must be approved and that application must be made to the secretary. The Armistice commemoration service will be held at the Presbyterian Church on Sunday. It urns reported by Mr Langslow that fares for the proposed combined picnic at New Plymouth would be Is (adults) and 2s (children) return.
