Mr Malcolm Leadbetter, M.A. (hons), first assistant at St. Andrew’s College, Christchurch, has been appintecl rector of the Waimate High School. Mr Leadbetter, who is aged 32, has To years’ teaching experience and secured first place for New Zealand in degree examinations for pure mathematics and physics. He is also a notable ahlete, having been nominated for the Olympic Games in 1928.
