GOOD PRICES AT ADDINGTON
CHRISTCHURCH, Nov. G. There was a double market at Addington to-day and values in all the major sections advanced in price, ewes and lambs and hoggets by Is 6d to 2s, fat sheep by Is to Is Gd, fat cattle by 255, and vealers by 10s.
Store sheep: Ewe hoggets made to 345, wether hoggets to 24s Gd, ewes and lambs to 15s 7d. Fat sheep: An entry of 4650 head. Extra prime heavy wethers made to 29s lOd, prime heavy 23s Gd to 265, prime medium-weight 21s Gd to 23s 3d, ordinary 19s 9d to 21s 3d, extra prime heavy ewes to 29s lOd. prime heavy 21s Gd to 235, prime medium-weight 19s to 21s, ordinary 17s 9d to 18s 9d.
Fat cattle: 50-1 were penned, all local c.attle except a few trucks from the West Coast. The sale firmed as it progressed. Rest beef made 34s to 36s Gd a 1001 b., good 32s to 33s Gd, heifer beef 33s and best cow to 30s. Extra prime heavy steers sold to £l6 7s Gd, prime heavy £l2 10s to £l4 15s, prime medium-weight £ll 5s to £l3 ss, ordinary £8 15s to £lO 10s. Extra prime heifers to £l3 12s Gd, prime £8 5s to,£lo ss, ordinary £G 10s to £7 15s. Extra prime cows to £ll 12s Gd. prime £7 15s to £9 ss, ordinary £6 5s to £7 10s.
Fat pigs: The market was unchanged. Choppers 30s to £6 8s Gd, baconcrs 45s Gd to £3 ss. Gd, average price per lb 4’d to s'Jd. Porkers 28s to 42s Gd, average per lb. s*d to 6d.
