MOTORMAN’S LUCKY ESCAPE. FRONT OF CAR WRECKED. (By Telegraph—Press Association). AUCKLAND, Nov. 5. The front of a framcar was wrecked and the motorman had a remarkable escape from injury in a collision with a motor truck laden with bales ef wool at a corner near Newmarket this afternoon. The motorman’s compartment of the tramear was smashed so much that >nly the superstructure remained intact. The front windows and those on me side were carried completely away with all the supports, while the con;rols were, also carried away, parts of hem being strewn about the roadway. The motorman, Robert Middlemiss, Urev Lynn, escaped with bruises and scratches on one leg.
