ATHLETE’S NAME USED
CONNECTION WITH ADVERTISEMENT WITHDRAWAL REQUESTED (By Telegraph—Press Association). WELLINGTON, Nov. 5. The position of L. C. McLachlan, the prominent New Zealand middle and long-distance runner, whose name has recently been used in an advertisement appearing in Wellington newspapers, was reviewed at a meeting of the council of the New Zealand Amateur Athletic Association tonight. It was decided to bring the rule referring t 0 the position to the notice of McLachlan and request the withdrawal of the advertisement.
