SPECIAL CABINET MEETING. NO CHANGE OVER RESIGNATION. (United Press Association —By Electric Telegraph Copyright). MELBOURNE, Nov. 5. A special meeting of tjie Federal Cabinet was held to-day to consider the position of Mr W. M. Hughes, who has been asked to resign from the Cabinet owing to his attitude over sanctions. Mr Hughes was not present. The Prime Minister stated afterwards that there was no change in the situation, hut a communication had been sent to Mr Hughes, who intended to make his reply in the House of Representatives at Canberra, probably to-morrow.
