MR.. A. E. JULL’S CAMPAIGN GIVEN GOOD RECEPTION (By Telegraph—Press Association). WAIPUKURAU, To-day. Mr. A. E. Jull, M.P., addressed a largely attended meeting in his home town last night, and delivered his policy speech as a Government candidate. He met with a good reception. and was accorded a vote of thanks and confidence. Mr Jull dealt with the stringent measures that had been necessary for the financial rehabilitation. of the country,, including salary cuts, mortgage legislation, and higher exchange. The last had added £9,000,000 to the internal value of our products, lie said, and had brought in £13,500,000 additional revenue. He criticised alternative proposals and declared that guaranteed prices were impracticable. The country was recovering from the depression and the Government had laid a sound financial foundation for the future.
