EGMONT SUMMER SHOW
CLOSING DATE OF ENTRIES. SATURDAY THE FINAL DAY. The attention of exhibitors is drawn to the fact that entries for the Hawera show close on Saturday next. Everyone should make a point of being represented at this fixture, as never in the history of any association has such an opportunity been presented to exhibitors. The trophies and prize money this year exceed anything of-, fered, and it behoves the general public as well as exhibitors to give the Egmont Association the support it deserves.
Last year exhibitors from Manawatu, Wairarapa, Hawke’s Bay and Waikato patronised this fixture- and it is anticipated that the Dominion’s leading studs, flocks and herds will again be represented this year. The Hawera show has rapidly come into prominence and it is realised that to secure a prize ticket at Hawera is the hall mark of quality. Entries are coming in freely and exhibitors will assist the secretary very greatly by making their entries as early as possible.
For those who are interested in side shows, everything points t° the greatest display of this kind ever seen on the grounds. Applications for space have been coming to hand for weeks past and from the titles of some of these shows—such as: “The Human Torpedo,” “Somersaulting MotorCyclist,” “St. Moritz Skaters”—it certainly points to plenty of thrills for patrons.
Since the schedule was printed a further donation has been received for the pet lamb class. Mr O. Gomer has donated £1 Is for this purpose, bringing the total prize money up to £2 Is for the class..
