« W.D.F.U. Branch Meeting Tho Afokoia-Whakamara W.D.F.F. branch met on Wednesday afternoon, when there was a good attendance of members. Invitations to attend the Hawera branch birthday and a poultry demonstration at Normanby were accepted. The competition for the month was “Signs in Public Places,” Aliss J. Lander being the winner with 9 points out of 12. A sale of plants and vegetables was held and afternoon tea was served by the hostesses, Afosdames Alarsh and Lander and Aliss Lander.
