HOSPITAL BOARDS’ INSURANCE MOVE IN WAIKATO. (By Telegraph —Press Association.) HAMILTON, To-day. Arising out of the test case, Logan v. the Waitaki Hospital Board, the Waikato Hospital Board at a meeting to-day resolved to take steps to insure itself against claims for negligence on the part of nurses and doctors in its employ. It is proposed that tlie policy shall cover any one claim for £2500, not exceeding a total amount of £IOOO in any one year. The board will approach the Hospital Boards’ Association with a view to arranging for all hospital boards to combine in the matter to obtain the cheapest cover possible. It was decided to contribute a share towards the legal costs incurred by the Waitaki board, providing all other boards do likewise.
