CHARGES OF FRAUD
BENZTNE FROM GARAGES FARM LABOURER REMANDED Charges of securing benzine and repairs at two Hawera garages by fraudulent means were preferred against Preston Frederick Albert Stevens, farm labourer, of Hawera, in the Hawera Police Court this morning. He was remanded to appear before Mr W._ H. Woodward,. S.M., at Hawera on Friday. Mr A. Grant, J.P., was on the bench. In making application for the remand, Sergeant Henry mentioned that a further charge of a similar nature would probably be made against defendant. Bail was allowed in self £lO and a further surety of a similar amount.
