NORTH ISLAND TOURNAMENT TARANAKI WELL BEATEN Five matches were played yesterday in the North Island primary schools’ Soccer tournament at New Plymouth. There are six teams taking part—Wellington, Manawatu, Taranaki, Wairarapa, Wanganui and Hawke’s Bay—and in order to have the tournament over by to-morrow night five games a day have to he played. Several good exhibitions of Soccer were provided in yesterday’s games. Results, in addition to those published in yesterday’s late edition of the “Hawera Star,” are as follow: Wanganui beat Wairarapa, 3—l. Wellington drew with Hawke’s Bay. I^l.
