“Drake of England.’’ * “Drake of England,” British International Pictures” ambitious historical film, has now been produced. The film is said to be full of the fighting and pioneer spirit that played such a largo part in the • moulding of the British Empire and made Britain mistress of the seas. Matheson Lang, the famous actor-manager, who scored such a brilliant personal triumph iu “The Great Defender,” has the title role of Six Francis Drake. Ilis daring, swashbuckling presentation of the famous admiral is said to leave nothing to be desired. The role of Queen Elizabeth is filled by Athene Seyler.

(Universal are trying to persuade Paul Robeson to play in “Show Boat” the part in which he appeared with such success on the London stage. Stepin Fetellit played the role in the silent version.
