MISHAP TO WEDDING PARTY

CAR OVERTURNS IN DRAIN A wedding reception at an Awatuna farm on the Auroa Road was considerably delayed yesterday afternoon by a mishap which occurred to one of the bridal cars. The wedding ceremony took place at Kaponga. after which the bride, groom and two other .passengers drove to Eltham for the purpose of having photographs taken. On the return journey the driver attempted to avoid a dog which ran out at the car on the Eltham Road, but in doing so drove off the bitumen and lost control. The speed was not great, but the car nevertheless overturned in a five-foot drain. The car was practically undamaged, and although the bride suffered minor cuts and bruises, she was able to proceed with the groom and other members of the party to the reception after she had received medical attention.
