SECONDARY SCHOOLS MATCHES. TOURNAMENT ITINERARY. A tentative programme lias been drawn up for the secondary schools tournament to be played at New Plymouth and Hawera during the week of August 24 to 31. The tournament is being held in conjunction with the jubilee year of Taranaki Rugby, and Auckland Grammar, Christchurch, Otago and New Plymouth Boys’ High Schools w T ill compete. The programme is as follows: — Thursday, August 22. —Arrival of Otago team. ‘ Friday.—Arrival of Auckland and Christchurch teams. Practice at school or Pukekura Park. ‘ .Saturday.—l.3o p.m., New Plymouth v. Auckland; 3 p.m., Otago v. Christ'chureh. In the evening the teams will be entertained at the pictures. Sunday.—Morning free. Cars leave at 1 p.m. for North Egmont hostel, returning after 5 p.m. Monday. —Morning and afternoon J free. Dance at night. Tuesday. —At present free (there is I a suggestion that the teams, hosts and old boys should be entertained at lunch). Wednesday. —Special train leaves New Plymouth for Hawera at 8.50 a.m.; 1.30 p.m., Auckland v. Otago; 3 p.m., Christchurch v. New. Plymouth; return to New Plymouth. Thursday.—Taranaki Hunt Club races at New Plymouth; all party guests. Friday.—l.3o p.m., Otago v. New Plymouth; 3 p.m., Christchurch >v. Auckland. Saturday, August 31. —Visiting teams leave for home. PRIMARY SCHOOLS MATCH.
