Cheered by 2000 ]>oop!o, William Darwin, a member of the Brighton Council and drum-major of the Brighton Municipal Band, set off this afternoon in am attempt to push a fellow bandsman, William Amiguot, from Brighton to Sydney in a wheelbarrow in ten weeks, the distance being 600 miles. A wager of £3OO is attached to the event. , The barrow is stream-lined and is fitted with a windscreen.
