TALKIE ATTRACTIONS OPERA HOUSE “THE WEDDING NIGHT.” Samuel Goldwyn’s production of “The Wedding Night,” starring the new romantic team, Gary Cooper and Anna Sten, screens at the Opera House finally to-night. Directed 'by King Vidor from an original story by Edwin Knopf and adapted lx*’the screen by Edith Fitzgerald, the film depicts in <|ramatic and vivid manner the experiences of a modern girl in her revolt against the dictates and restraints of tradition and strict parental rule. The girl, living in the rolling farm country, seeks to live in conformity with the liberal social order of. America, but her father, clinging tenaciously to the habits of the old world, demands that she wed a man of his choice, whom she does not love. Anna Sten emerges in this, her third picture for Samuel Goldwyn, as a girl typically American in dress, talk and actions. Gary Cooper plays the role of a famous author with whom she falls in love.
Siegfried Rumann appears as the father of Miss Sten, Ralph Bellamy as the young man he selects to become his son-in-law, and Helen Vinsen as the wife of Gary Cooper. “The Wedding Night” is released through United Artists. - - ■

“FOOTLIGHT PARADE,”
“Footlight Parade,” which comes to the Opera House to-morrow for a twonight season, is a lavish musical comedy romance of backstage life, written by Manuel Seff and James Seymour, with unique ensembles staged by Busby Berkeley, the genius who staged the dance numbers in “42nd Street” and “Gold Diggers of 1933.” The allstar cast includes James Cagney, Joan Blondell, Ruby Keeler, Dick Powell, Guy Kibbee, Frank McHugh and Rufh Donnelly.

“DEVIL DOGS OF THE AIR.”
The Cosmopolitan production, “Devil Dogs of the Air,” released 'by Warner Bros., screens at the Grand Theatre finally to-night. The picture deals with the romantic and daredevil exploits of members of the aviation corps of the TJ.S. Marines and is said to be a smashing follow-up of “Here Comes the Navy.” The .same inimitable trio head the cast of this new service picture, James Cagney,Pat O’Brien, and Frank McHugh. Margaret Lindsay has the leading feminine role while there is a strong supporting cast with hundreds of marines in extra roles. •
Also showing, episode 10 of “The Vanishing Shadow.” ‘ 'ENTER MADAME. ’’ Comedy, romance and superlative singing are 'blended in Paramount’s “"Enter Madame” which, featuring Elissa Landi and Cary Grant, opens a two-day engagement at the Grand Theatre commencing to-morrow. With the story of an opera star’s life and love for its plot, “Enter Madame .takes advantage of its locale to introduce a number of scenes from three popular operas; not merely incidental scenes, but actual opera, faithfully, .beautifully and effectively performed. The voices of Richard Bonelli, Metropolitan opera star, anti- Nina Koshetz, famous soprano, are heard in these scenes and add immeasurably to the delight of the picture.
