Maori Social Club The Ohangai Maori Social Club liclcl a very successful euchre party and dance in the Foresters’ Hall at Hawera on Friday evening. The hall was well filled and about 30 tables were occu-
pied. Twelve games were played. The winners were Mrs G. Nuliu (Okaiawa) first and Mrs Tuki (Okaiawa) second, and Messrs M. Tamapa.a first and Ike Ivatene second. Supper was provided under the management of Mesdames Tamaka, N. Rangitonga, R. Rophia, J. Hinga and Miss V. Hangitonga. Music for dancing was supplied by Miss Susie Walden’s Sunshine Orchestra and during
the evening a Monte Carlo Waltz was won by Mrs ,T. Hinga. and Mr S. Ivatene and a- Monte Carlo foxtrot by Tonga Ivatene and Mrs Bishaw. A cake competition was won by Mr Dick Walden. Mr G. Hinga was master of ceremonies. Miss M. Tumoroa,. who hnfc been holidaying in Wanganui, returned home on Tuesday.
