In the Junior Tourist Trophy motor cycle event Guthrie was first with an average speed of 79.14 miles an hour. Rusk was second with 75.77 miles an hour, and White third with 77.10 miles an hour, all riding Nortons. The course measured 264 miles. Guthrie’s time was-3hrs. 20mins. lGsees. J. MacDonald, who was making his first appearance ias a professional, was .killed when he crashed into a bridge drring a fierce struggle in the fourth lap. His young wife was watching the race when the news was brought to her.
