MATAPU BALL

Young Peoples .Club

On Friday evening in the Matapn Hall a ball organiser! by the newlyformed Young People’s Social Club was held. There was a record attendance and visitors were present from Opunake, Hawera, Stratford, Eltham and Kaponga. Excellent music was supplied by the Australian International Dance Band. Messrs E. Guy and A. Lobban acted as masters of ceremonies. Supper arrangements were in the hands of a. ladies’ committee, consisting of Mesdames Guy; Seed, Hogan and Palmer. The success of the dance was largely due to the work of the energetic secretary (Mr A. Lobban). Personal Notes Mr and Mrs P. Henry, of Duthie Road, left on Thursday for Australia, where they will spend a holiday. Master Roy and Mrs Hazel Harrell, of ivaeaea Area, are the guests of Mr and Mrs W. T. Seed.
