GAOL FOR AUSTRALIAN. VISITOR TO WELLINGTON. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, To-day. A sentence of six months’ hard labour was imposed on Hugh Anthony Parker, aged 2S, by Air Alosley, S.AL, to-day. This will bo followed by IS months’ reformative detention. Accused pleaded guilty of obtaining goods and money by means of valueless cheques here, at Hastings and on the limited express. It was stated that 'he was from Australia and had collected “quite a list’’ since he came over.
