INDIANS WIN AGAIN
SOUTH CANTERBURY BEATEN CAPTAIN SCORES SIX GOALS (By Telegraph— Press Association.) TIMARU, June 7. The Indian hockey team gave a brilliant display to-day, defeating South Canterbury by 12 goals to nil. At halftime the visitors led 3-nil. The Indians displayed wonderful team work, their positional play being outstanding. Tho home side battled gamely but were unable to cope with the brilliance of the visiting forward line, of which Dhyan Chand was the pivot. He scored six goals, Fermandcs two, Shahabuddiu two and Rup Singh two. The visitors were swarmed by autograph hunters during their stay and decided that in future a charge of lid ■would be made, all autograph books to be left with the manager. The money so collected will go to the Indian earthquake relief fund.
