MANGATOKI HALL
BETTER ACCOMMODATION SOUGHT. EXTENSION AND NEW DANCE FLOOR. (From Our Own Correspondent). A very pressing need that has existed in the district for a considerable number of yogi's in the way of better hall accommodating, is being dbalt with in a prompt and practical manner by the energetic committee that lias recently been appointed. In the past, functions that have been organised have suffered as regards attendance owing to the limited space available for dancing and to the condition of the floor.
The. new committee, at its inaugural meeting, deeided that, it would be advisable for tile hall to be widened by twelve feet and a new dancing floor put down throughout. 'Tenders lor the job were invited, and at a. meeting of the committee held this week, that of Mr Ward, of Eltham, was accepted and the work will commence almost immediately. The committee also considered ways and means of financing the additions ainj it is understood that a scheme will be put into operation in the district almost immediately. When the work is completed those in the district •vim are fond of ‘-tripping the light fantastic too’’ may look forward'to the winter months with pleasure. A Mangatoki team to play
