UNION MEMBER WALKS OUT. ’ SEQUEL TO PLAYER’S SUSPENSION. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, May 28. Following the suspension of a Sydonhaiii club player by the management committee of the Canterbury Rugby Union to-night, 011,0 of the 'members of the committee, Mr W. A. Britten, who is president of the Sydenham club, tendered his resignation from the committee and, after declaring that he was “done with the Canterbury Union and done with football,” walked out of the meeting. The player suspended was I. Crockett, a Canterbury representative of two seasons ago, and he was stood down for two playing Saturdays for addressing, it, was alleged, an insulting term to the reieroo, Mr 1.-. A. Keys.
