Belief That Mr Baldwin Will Replace Mr MacDonald

It is new believed that the reconstruction of the British Cabinet will be announced on June 7, the date upon which Parliament adjourns for the Whitsun recess. Mr Ramsay MacDonald, Prime Minister, will then have the resignation of the whole Ministry ami Mr Stanley Baldwin as the new head of the Government will announce the changes. The “Daily Telegraph’s’’ poltical correspondent says Sir John Simon is certain to leave the Foreign Office. He is likely to .succeed Mr Baldwin as Lord President of the Council and to lead the House ;cf Commons in Mr Baldwin’s absence. Mr MacDonald will take Mr Anthony Eden's office as Lord Privy Seal, and will thus be relieved of the burden of administrative duties. It is believed Viscount Sankev, Lord High Chancellor, will retire and that Viscount Hailslmm, Secretary for W ar, will return to> the ofiico of Lord Chancellor. Mr Malcolm MacDonald, Un-der-Secretary for the Dominions, will be promoted and Air Ernest Brown. Parliamentary Secretary for Alines, will replace Mr Oliver Stanley. Alinistcr of Labour, wins will probably succeed Viscount. Halifax as President of the Board of Education. Viscount Halifax is understood to be retiring from tlio Government.
