Function at Awatuna

A kitchen tea was held in the Awatuna Hall on Monday evening jror Air and Airs Alartin, who recently .suffered the loss of their possessions by lire. There was a. large gathering present and a very enjoyable time was spent in dancing and games. Alusic was provided by ATiss JFollins and extras wore played by Airs AY. Anderson and Airs Niccolls. A Alonte Carlo waltz was won by Air and' Airs Roy Pepperell and a blind-fold waltz vas won bv Aliss Bessie Niccolls and All Irwin Alty. A “poisoned stick” competition was won by- Mrs Lind and Aliss Josephine Bourke won a prizo for “musical arms.” A collection of useful gifts was received and a. sum of money to hand over to the guests of the evening. On behalf of the AYomcn’.s Division. Mrs Coxhend (president) presented these gifts. The duties of AGO. were carried out by Air Doug. Lind and suppei was provided by the ladies. 1
