PATEA SCHOOL COMMITTEE

ATTENDANCE PC PER CENT. COMMITTEE’S .MONTHLY MEETING. (From Our Own Correspondent.) With a school roll of 181 there was an average attendance for the month of PC per cent, stated the headmaster (Mr C. P. Bates) at a meeting of tho Patea School Committee on Friday. Mr R. E. Moore presided and there were present Messrs R. Mays, N. Goad, Bates (headteacher), and Mrs A. A. Carev. Mr D. Ansley was granted leave of absence on account of illness. A letter was received from Mr Matson notifying the committee that lie would not be requiring the old school for his boxing school owing to his leaving tho district, but that Mr C. Papps would be carrying on. A letter was read from Mr Papps requesting the use of the building on the same conditions as Mr .Matson. This request was granted.
