WANGANUI-EGMONT HUNT
MEET AT CROSS-ROADS. •v. FAST DAY’S SPORT ENJOYED. (From Our Own Correspondent). In spite of occasional showers the cor.mtious tor hunting last Thursday afternoon were good and a fast day s sport was enjoyed by followers of the W anganui-Kgmont hunt when they met at tne H henuakura cross-roads. The scent was holding and the hounds worked excellently, several long and thrilling runs making the day one ot the best of the season. This country is some -of the stillest. that is hunted over, providing big gorse fences which are relished by keen huntsmen. Followers were: Deputy-Master T. Watkins on Gay Hunting and Bonita, Huntsman T. Myles on Fleet and Twilight, Mrs D. Lance on Lively Fire, Miss O. Walkinton on Sir Daniel, P. Simmons on Dickens, H. Simmons on Bonita, R. Wybourne on DanzofF, Hurley on Tommy, Hurley on a chestnut, Messrs D. Lupton on Wilkins, G. Watkins on Cadenza, S. G. Davidson on a chestnut, E. Davidson on Duckling, N Davidson on Don Erma, P. Davidson on Susie Pye, L. Davidson on Dinkum, S. Besley on The Artful Dodger, R. Simmons on Bahrain. Hamblyn on Royal Flight, Smythe on brown, Cotter on Kosiosko, Furgie oil a grey, A.
