Worcester Batsmen Routed for Second Innings score of 95 MATCH TO SOUTH AFRICANS FINISHED BEFORE LUNCH (United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph Copyright). Received 12.15 p.m. to-day. LONDON, May 3. The South Africans defeated Worcester by an innings and 166 runs. At the close of yesterday’s play South. Africa had made 351 and dismissed Worcestershire for 90.
The match was resumed in perfect weather and Walters. and Bull, were back to the pavilion within tten minutes. The remainder of the Worcester batsmen followed in a sorry procession. The county’s chances were soon hopeless. The wicket was faster and vicious inswingers accounted for several wickets. A twenty-five minutes ’ stand for 18 runs was mainly due to lucky snicks.
