HANDKERCHIEF TRICK

A trick with a handkerchief which, when you have done it yourself, you can ask friends to do is carried out in this way. A large handkerchief is put on a table, and what you have to do is to gyasp two ends and tie a knot in it. This does not seem difficult until you are told that the knot must be tied without letting go either end of the handkerchief while you are doing it.

Start by folding your arms across your chest, putting the right hand under the left elbow and the left hand over the right elboWi, Then bend the body over the table and grasp one end of the handkerchief in each hand while the arms are still folded. Gently bring the two hands together, and as you do this a knot is tied in the handkerchief though you have never released your hold on the ends.
