PRESS STATEMENT AMENDED. (By Telegraph—Press Association.! -CHRISTCHURCH, April 22. Concerning a meeting of debentureholders in the Christchurch district in the Investment Executive Trust, Mr J. D. Renton, chairman of the meeting, amends in- some respects the published statement which was furnished to newspapers by Mr O. A. Bridgewater. Mr Renton says the voting at the meeting was 28 for and 6 against, for each Resolution. There are, he says, only 60 debenture-holders in the Christchurch city area, arfd therefore he considers the meeting -was-representative. Mr Bridgewater was formerly one of McArthur’s agents and was the only debenture-holder present who spoke against the vote of thanks to the Government.
