ROWING AT WESTPORT
KAWATIRI CREW’S SUCCESSES. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) WESTPORT, April 21. The rowing regatta on Saturday on the Buller River was attended by a large crowd. Kawatiri (Westport) won the Gothard and Harley Cups from Nelson in the annual contest, but the Nelson youths defeated Kawatiri for the Jones Cup for youths. In the Atkin Cup races the Kawatiri No. 1 crew (W. Craddock, J. Corbishley, E. Harding, J. J. Woodward) beat Picton and Blenheim to lift the trophy for the first time.
