OLD GIRLS’ JUBILEE

NEW PLYMOUTH HIGH SCHOOL. FORMAL RECEPTION HELD. A commencement was made today with celebrations in connection with the jubilee of the New Plymouth Girls’ High School. The first contingent of visitors from all parts'of New Zealand arrived yesterday.

Old Girls assembled at the school at 9 o’clock and after the official ringing of the bell by Mrs M. Baker-Gabb, memorial wreaths’ wore plac-od. at the entrance gates of “Scotlands.” The old girls and present, girls then marched in procession from Eliot Street to the State Theatre, where a formal reception was hold. A garden party was held in the afternoon and to-night- a re-union,din-ner will bo the principal item on t}io programme.
