BIBLE CLASS CAMP

METHODIST YOUNG WOMEN. STUDY AND RECREATION. Fifty-eight members of the Methodist Young Women’s Bible Classes in the Taranaki-Wanganui district have taken up quarters at the Hawera Mhin School for their annual Eastef camp. Arrangements are in the hands of the Hawera committee and visitors are present from Wanganrii, Stratford, Inglewood, New Plymouth, Rahotu, Opunake, Pihama, Ohura arid the Rlatana pa. The camp assembled on Thursday night arid will disperse on Tuesday morning. Study circles have been arranged for each day’s programme. Yesterday an Easter service was coriducted at. the school by the chief officer, Miss N. Laurerison (Wanganui). After study circles, a visit was paid to King Edward Park. This afternoon the camp was open to visitors and a sports riieetinig was held. Bible Class Union policy will be the subject for a group discussion to-night. A parade will be held at the ; Methodist Church to-morrow morning, while a Hymn service will be held in the evening. A mystery hike has been arranged for Monday. The cariip organiser is Miss C. Squire, with Miss B. Metsori as secretary. ’Mrs Metsori is cariip mother. The camp has been divided into “tribes” this year and each section is searching for aspects of camp life which iriake the rriost appeal. The results will be made known at the final meeting on iMonday night.

METHODIST YOUNG MEN. A four-day Easter camp is being held by Methodist young men’s Bible classes at New Plymouth. Over 5G irieinbe'rs have assembled from Awutiiria, Eltham, Fitzroy,- Hawera, Inglewood, Kaponga, Ngatoto (Uruti), Okrito, Patear Stratford, Tarurutangi, Wbarebuia and New piymoutln

Yesterday the morning service was taken by the Rev. M. Blight, Inglewood, and in the afternoon the visitors were taken for a. siglit-seeing trip lQiind New Plymouth. Visitors lastnight were Messrs. Arch Berringtoit arid Ern Howell, secretary arid treasurer of the Methodist Bible class < movement, who talked to the campers before continuing their North Island tour. To-day a launch trip was held round the Sugarlcaves. The camp concert will be held to-night. There is to be a church parade at Whiteley Church to-morrow morning and in the evening a camp service will be held, followed by a camp meeting. ' The camp will break up ori Tuesday morning.

PRESBYTERIANS AT NEW PLYMOUTH. The' Taranaki Presbyterian Young Women’s Bible. Class camp commenced at New Plymouth yesterday. Miss D. Corrigan is camp mother and there are about 40 members assembled.

Yesterday Miss L Wilson, representing the Presbyterian Youth coiprnittee; gave an address at a camp meeting. Study circle was held in the afternoon, and last night Miss Allan, Gore, also a representative of the yoritli committee, addressed the group. This morning sports for the Taranaki banner were held. This evening a concert and pageant will be staged by the campers. To-morrow they will attend one or more of the Suriday services, and oil Monday an all-day picnic has been arranged. Study circles will be .held at 2.30 p.ni. on' Saturday, at 9.30 a.m. on Sunday and at 10.30 a.m. on Monday. At a camp meeting on Monday night Miss Allan will speak.
