MOKOIA

SCHOOL COMMITTEE. .(From Our Own Correspondent). The monthly meeting of the Mokoia school committee was held in the school on Monday, April 15, Mr W. G. Marsh presiding. The head teacher reported that, the roll number was 35 and the average attendance for the month was 32.

Notice was received from Mrs King, of Hawera, stating that Mokoia school was successful in winning the Junior Bed Gross banner for 1935 arid proffering the society’s congratulations. Accounts amounting fo £5 were passed for payment. Regarding the Junior Red Cross banner the chairman congratulated the children and teachers on their win. Arrangements for the presentation. of the banner were .being hlade, the tentative date to be May 10, but this would have to be submitted to the Red Cross Society..
