SMALL CAR OVERTURNS
HAWERA WOMAN INJURED ACCIDENT NEAR WANGANUI While en route from Hawera to Wellington yesterday in a small car, Miss Dorothea West and Miss Blackwell, of Hawera, had a narrow escape front serious injury' when the car, ■ which was driven by Miss West, overturned near Maxwell. They were conveyed by the Free Ambulance to the Wanganui Public Hospital, where, it was ascertained that Miss Blackwell was suffering from bruises only, but Miss West, who had suffered slight concussipn, will be an inmate for a few days. Her condition is not regarded as serious and a tele- j phone inquiry this morning elicited the information that she had made satisfactory progress.
