A hold robbery was committed early this morning, when a plate glass window in Lauchlan’s, Ltd.’s, jewellers, Woodward Street, was smashed and watches valued at about £2OO stolen. The window was broken by throwing a heavy spanner througn it. The thieves apparently were interrupted at work, as a number of gold watches farther along the shelf were not taken.
