Croquet at Kaponga

Owing to the excessive rain and the fact that the croquet greens at Kaponga were under water in the early morning, the sectional play in the New Zealand Croquet Council’s buttons competition was not played on Wednesday, but will now take place on Friday. Miss Betty Farnell,- who underwent an operation in the Kaponga hospital on Tuesday, is progressing satisfactorily: _ ' Work under the No. 5 scheme this week was allocated to one A, two B, one C, four D, one El and one G class workers.

Owing to the cricket final between Kaponga and Tarurutangi being played at Kaponga on Saturday, no bowling fixtures have been set down for that nay.
