Torpedoes have been placed in the west and south channels and several hulks have been purchased by the .Government with a'view to being sunk, it necessary, to obstruct the navigation. These precautions arc due to the tact, that intelligence lias been received the presence of Bussinn cruisers at Singapore and the Cape.
