LLOYD GEORGE’S NEW DEAL

Government Accused of - ~ -~ r>l an( j s ee ’» Policy . fU •' *

THE “LAMBS” AT GENEVA

LEADERSHIP WANTED

(United Fgtm Association—By Electrio Telegraph Copyright.) Received 2.0 p.m. to-day. LONDON, March 27.

Mr Lloyd George, speaking at Newcastle, advanced his experiences during his tour of the distressed areas as an argument for instituting his “new deal.”

He accused the Government of falling victim to tho old “wait and see” policy. The situation could not wait -until Signor Mussolini, Herr Hitler and M. Stalin browsed like lambs in tho same pasture at Geneva, with Sir John Simon shepherding them. Tho State must cut a' road through a quaking bog which private enterprise could follow. Urgent work awaited everybody, and millions of sterling lay idle because of barren dogmatism and stubborn heads. Wo should use the surplus savings of £200,000,000 yearly before it is too late.
