annual meeting held ELECTION OF OFFICERS At # the annual meeting of the Ta■vvhitei Hall Society held on Wednesday night there was a good attendance. Mr H. Thrush presided. The chairman submitted his annual report and the secretary (Mr A. T Tidswell) read the balance sheet, which showed a credit of £7. Members considered that owing to the heavy calls on the finance, the position was very satisfactory.
The report and balance sheet were adopted. The election of officers resulted as follow: Chairman, Mr H. Young; secretary, Mr Joyce; committee, Messrs J. W. Alexander, C. "Ogle, W. V.
Parker, J. Pennell, A. T. Tidswell, H. Thrush, B. Appleyard, 0. McGlade, H. McGlade, J. Young, G. . Ogle, L. Barkla, G. Thompson, H. Dawson and R. Thompson.
Several projected improvements for the coming season were discussed. They will be finalised at a further meeting. A vote of thanks to the retiring chairman and the secretary closed the meeting.
