Communist Organisations a Menace to Industrialism BENGAL GOVERNMENT’S ORDER THOUSANDS AFFECTED (United Frees Association —By Electrio Telegraph Copyright). , Received noon to-day. CALCUTTA, March 7. The growing Communist menace to Calcutta industrialism is reflected in the Bengal Government order to-day declaring illegal 13 organisations involving many thousands of workers.
The ban includes the Inland Steamship Dockers, and tram and railway Unions and the Peasants’ Country Party.
Widespread city searches have been made, arrests effected and documents seized.
Many local strikes recently are believed -to -have -been instigated by-Uom-munist organisations.
