BREACH OF PROBATION ORDER. Thomas Bernard Sundo, for failure to notify his place of abode in the terms, of his probation order was convicted and ordered to be detained in the Borstal. Institute for one year .by Mr W. 11. Woodward, S.M., in the Hawera Magistrate’s Court this morning. . .Sergeant Henry, in prosecuting, said that he had had a great deal of trouble with Sunde, who had absolutely refused to fell him where Ke was living. As probation officer, the Sergeant had reason to bbjecTto certain of 'the associates of accused, but the latter had still prevailed until the Husband of one woman had 'given him a thrash'-, ixig. The home life of the accused been unfortunate, and the Sergeant was of the opinion that a term of Borstal treatment would be to the accused’s advantage.
