PERSONAL NOTES.
(From Our Own Correspondent.) Mrs Brooke and Miss G. Brooke left on AYednesday for Oka to, where they will be the guests of Mrs Dunn. Miss I. Sparrow, Ngata, Huaraki Plains, and’ Mrs Hawk, New Plymouth, are the guests of Mrs E. J. Betts.
Mr E. AYallis was a visitor to New Plymouth during the week. Miss B. Houlahan, Wanganui, is the guest of her rqotlier, Airs L. Houlahan.
Air and Airs L. Andrews, New Plymouth, were the guests of Mrs Alortimer during the week. Mrs A. Trevena, Feilding, is the guest of Airs Good.
Airs 0. Crawford is visiting Alton.
Air Jim 1 Mack has returned to Oka'iawa after spending five weeks at AYellington.. Airs Alellor. Auckland, is spending a fortnight with her daughter, Airs G. Barclay.
Aliss At. Barclay spent the week-end with her parents, Mrs and MAlr J. C. Barclay.
Air D. Chambers, who has been the guest of Airs J. C. Barclay, has returned to Wellington.
SWIAIAIING CEETIFICATES. The Okaiawa School children visited the Hawera baths on Friday to compete for swimming certificates. Eesults are as follows:
BSO yards. —Alerle Eae, Jean Thomson, Alaida Green. 220 yards.—A r eronica Hurley, Sylvia Thrush, Ivoni Nuku, Douglas Bobertson, Ivan Balsom.
50 - A yards.—Jean Way, Marjorie AVatts, Sarah Bakena, Arela Eakena, Betty Christiansen, Agnes Shearer, Alonica Shearer, Dorothy Shearer, Francie , Souness, Boss ' Barclay, A.
