HAWERA CHURCH SERVICES

The services to-morrow at the Hawera Baptist Church, Argyle Street, will be conducted by the Rev r . John Ings. Morning service at 11 o’clook followed by communion. The evening service at 7 o’clock will be of special interest to Scouts, Cubs, Guides and Brownies, who are invited to be present With their officers. Visitors made welcome. Harvest Thanksgiving will be held Sunday week, March 10. At the Hawera Methodist Church to-morrow Harvest Festival services will be held both morning and evening, when the preacher will be the Rev. Basil Motson. In the morning tile choir will sing “Fear Not, O Lord,” by .Semper, and in the evening, “Hearken Unto This,” by Button, with a duet by Mrs Hartman ancl Mr. J. Hill, and “Praise the Lord, O Jerusalem,” by Maunder, with a solo by Miss M. Archbold. Visitors and friends will be given a hearty welcome to the fellowship of the church. A sale, of harvest produce will he held on Monday evening in the schoolroom at- 7.30 p.m. |
