FIRST SOCIALIST BUDGET... ‘ 'ELECTORS HAVE THEIR . - REWARD. (United Press Association—By Electrto Telegraph Copyright). j LONDON, Feb. 28. The first Budget of the Socialists, who secured a majority on the London County Council in March last, shows an increase of 10Jd in the general county rate, which Mr Morrison, the chairman, defends on the ground “that the London County Council rate for years, past has been unnaturally and illegitimately low.” The Daily Telegraph comments that the electors had a plain warning' last year, yet 67 per cent, of the electorate did not vote. “Now they have their reward,” the paper adds.
