MANAIA BRAT RAWER A WEDNESDAY. CENTURY TO T. PRITCHARD. An unbeaten century Dy T. Pritchard was a feature of the cricket match at Manaia yesterday, in which Manaia defeated Hawera Wednesday on the first innings. Manaia made 120 and dismissed Hawera for a paltry 34. In the second innings Hawera fared "better and at stumps had lost one wicket fotr J. 48 iruns. Manaia’s top scorer was C. Whalen (25). Other double figure scorers were Kitt (24), Hobday (18), Christie (17). Extras accounted for no fewer than 32 of Manaia’s total. Galyer took chree for 10 and Rogers two for 5. Only one Hawera player reached double figures in the first innings— Campbell (10). Kitt took three for 0, Christie two for 5, and C. Whalen two for 0. In Hawera’s second innings Pritchard gave a fine display of hitting. Five sixes came from his bat- as well as 11 fours.
