The official opening of radio station ZL 3 H2, owned and operated, by the North Beach Rover Scout creiv, took place last night in the presence of Colonel Granville Walton, representing Imperial Headquarters. To the North Beach troop falls the honour of being the first troop in the British Empire to own short-wave receiving and transmitting apparatus. It is also believed to be the first Seout-oper-ated set in the world. The cost of £6O was raised by the Scouts. The apparatus wox-ks on the 80 metre band
